Stylesheet DeveloperResponsibilities
1.Analyze the structures of technical documents to conform to industry standards.
2.Create sample XML manuals (with the XML editor) from the source content in Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Word. Sample XML manuals are used as reference documents for a document conversion team to perform conversion from FrameMaker and Word to XML.
3.Review and provide feedback to improve quality of full-length XML manuals from the document conversion team.
4.Analyze the formats and layout of technical manuals, and develop/enhance stylesheets in CSS, XSLT and XSL-FO for publishing technical documents in XML, HTML and PDF.
5.Review, make adjustment (with the XML editor) and perform final QA on full-length XML manuals for delivery to customers. Minimum Requirements
1.B.S. with 3 or more years of experience in editing and publishing technical manuals.
2.Experience in using desktop publishing software and creating templates for FrameMaker and Word.
3.Good knowledge in SGML/XML/HTML and DTD/Schema.
4.Extensive experience in stylesheet languages such as CSS, XSL/XSLT/XSL-FO or FOSI.
5.Attention to formatting, layout and structural details of technical documents.
6.Knowledge of graphics formats such as TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, CGM, SVG, etc.
7.Strong motivation in delivery high-quality technical data to customers.
8.Experience with Arbortext products such as Arbortext Editor, Styler and Publishing Engine, a plus.
9.Experience in aviation standards ATA 100/2200 and S1000D, a plus. Senior JAVA developerDuties and Responsibilities:
Develop/enhance typical functionalities for commercial content management systems: check-in, check-out, versions, indexing, search, segmentation, etc.
Develop software applications to validate XML structures, and assemble full-length manuals from component documents in the content repository.
Develop/enhance workflow for airline-specific business process.
Develop software applications to manipulate graphics files in raster and vector formats.
Develop software applications to manipulate PDF files.
Develop/enhance Web-based interfaces to support viewing, navigation, search and browsing of the XML documents and graphics files.
Minimum Requirements
B.S. in C.S. with 6 or more years of software development experience, or M.S. in C.S. with 4 or more years of software development experience.
Extensive experience with software development process from specifications, to coding and testing for large-scale software solutions.
Experience with high-level design such as use cases, class diagrams, sequence charts, activity diagrams, etc.
Extensive programming experience in Java, J2EE, JSP, Javascript.
Experience with Web Application Servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere or WebLogic.
Experience in developing software applications with commercial content management systems such as Documentum and Interwoven.
Familiar with workflow management.
Good knowledge in SGML/XML/HTML and technical manuals.
Knowledge of graphics formats such as TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, CGM, SVG.
Experience of one or more graphics editors: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, ISODraw, Auto-trol, AutoCAD, ActiveCGM, etc.
Experience with Arbortext products such as Arbortext Editor, Arbortext Content Manager and Publishing Engine a plus.
